Greetings Roxanne!!!! I
do believe you are one of my most devoted readers and
I find your comments (I do wish you would allow me to make
them publishable on the site) to be very wonderful and
educating. I believe others would be
very interested in what you have to say as you do happen
to have tons of indispensable knowledge about the fiber
arts!!
Anyway, as you've
requested, I have posted some videos of me spinning on
my various wheels and a spindle. I hope these videos help you see that when you
are on your journey to become a more experienced spinner, you really can spin on any
kind and type of wheel, including spindles (with practice
of course).
In the first pic and
movie, I'm spinning tangerine wool on the older wheel:
In the second pic &
movie, I'm spinning Harley's sheddings from last year.
Harley is a very large St. Bernard dog that has to weigh
in at 250 pounds and sheds the most luxurious and softest
fiber I've ever spun. His hair is so soft it would make an
Alpaca cry!
In the third pic &
movie, I'm spinning a cotton hemp blend on a Babe wheel. I
split the roving into 4 sections, coil it around my hand
and spin from that.
In the last pic & movie,
I'm spindle spinning Kool-Aid dyed silk hankies on a
polymer clay spindles made by
